Frydlant is the oldest town in the area, it was the administrative town for Frydlant`s and Liberec`s county. The first information, about Frydlant is from the year 1278. Castle was originally build as the guarded castle. Castle was rebuilt to renaissance caste. The castle is one of the most visited castle in the area.

April: from 9am till 3:30pm, May from 9am till 4pm, June: from 9am till 4pm, July and August: from 9am till 4:30pm, September: from 9am till 4pm, October: from 9am till 3:30pm Open daily besides Monday.
Other interest historical points:
Frydlant`s town hall is the domination of the town. Museum is situated in the town hall.
Church of finding of St. crucifix is from the 15th century.
Frydlant`s view tower – follow the tourist path (yellow marked) from the railway station in Frydlant – 2,5km.
Garden lane with 222 basswoods, which are older than 200 years is situated at the direction to Raspenava.
Frydlant has beautiful surrounding, which is ideal place for hikers, bikers and climbers.
